what is culture mean to you?
from my understanding, culture is something that the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group also. Something that we are born with as we were being taught about it from our grand grand parents, it can be nature and nurture. Why nature? we were born with it, culture is something that has been already set by our grand grand parents back them maybe in a form of social, communication, racial or also religion or others.
How technology affect culture?
Technology has affected culture, in term of socializing, belief, racial, religion and more. With advent of technology, it has made lots of changes in every aspect of our lives. The benefits provided by this technology giving a huge impact on our societies especially the younger generation nowadays. Today, many global communication such as the social media like instagram, facebook, twitter and many more today are actually influencing by cultural differences. For instance, one of the famous social media that are mostly being use by the people nowadays are the instagram, Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social networking servic. Most of people these days are using it no matter how age, races or religion you are, everyone is using it. Moreover, many artists or famous people also use the application. In which this may be one of the causes of the changes or the affect of cultural in someone. As with this application, people around the world can see what other people from other countries do, like their fashion, their lifestyle, everything can be seen through instagram, which people can get influenced with it. For example, hype beast or hipster fashion style, everything was started from the West Country like USA, which were started by the singer, famous people like the rapper, so from there most of people got influenced with the style as it looks really dope like with the fanny pack or bum bag, colorful bright clothing and sneakers which this affect some of the culture like Malay people who are born wearing normal casual asian clothing like maybe wearing smart clothing, now with their influencer they trying to copy them as much as they can by spending their money buying the stuff.Moreover, in Malays countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, with the existence of KPOP industry, some of the culture have been forgotten like many younger generation these days like to be like their famous KPOP artist like dying their hair into brownish or blonde color, use lots of makeup to make them look pale and cute like those KPOP stars and even the food, these days we can found lots of Korean foods everywhere like the samyang, the existence of Korean product market like the K-Mart and many more. So yeah, basically technology actually has affected some of the culture nowadays but it actually depends on the person itself on how they belief, do they still want or need their culture, well its up to them as for some still might keep their culture as they feel it like culture is one of the very most important element in their life and something that cannot be forgotten.
