The word "video game" itself refers to an electronic game that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device such as TV screen, PC monitor and now also can be use on the tablets, smartphone and many more devices.

Video games, there are good and bad affects of playing video games to the people. Playing video games can be good but also can be bad at the same time, it depends on how someone use it. One of the reason why video games can be bad is because it is a time-wasters, one game usually takes time to complete the whole game mission, for those game addict people, they usually will become addicted to the game that they play until they forget to do the things that they are supposed to do like eating, spending time with family or friends, doing homework, studying and many more. Which it may also affect negatively to the Academic achievement related to over-all time spent playing video games. This is because studies have shown that the more time a kid spends playing video games, the poorer is his performance in school. So basically, they have ended up wasting lots of time doing things that they supposed to do.

For myself, I love playing open-world kind of game, it is one of my favorite kind of game as I love control my character freely and with open-world game, I can do so many things that I wanna do as it is a virtual world in which the player can explore and approach objectives freely, as opposed to a world with more linear gameplay. However, open-world video games actually could caused bad affect to the person who plays it.

 One of the reason is playing video games also may teach kids the wrong values such as Violent behavior, vengeance and aggression are rewarded. For examples, games that developed by Rockstar games company such as the most played and famous  game by Rockstar games  is "Grand theft auto", 


                               

Grand theft auto is an action-adventure video game series Most games in the series are set in fictional locales modelled on cities, usually either Liberty City, Vice City or San Andreas, which are stand-ins for New York City, Miami and the state of California, respectively. The gameplay of the focuses on an open world where the player can choose missions to progress an overall story, as well as engaging in side activities, all consisting of action-adventure, driving, third-person shooting, occasional role-playing stealth and racing elements. The series focuses around many different protagonists who attempt to rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld, although their motives for doing so vary in each game. 

So basically this game contents lots of bad things that people are not supposed to do in real life especially for kids as this game is to explicit violence  and bad for them, In other hand, that violence and bad behavior played in the virtual world may be contributing to better behavior in the real world. Gamers who play violent games may feel guilty about their behavior in the virtual world and this may make them be more sensitive to the moral issues they violated during game play.
